About Us

Pack 747 is a well rounded pack with boys from both public and private schools, all different religious affiliations and economic backgrounds.  We usually meet the third Monday of every month at St. James Lutheran Church, in Fayetteville.

The individual Dens meet other times during the month.  Our Pack is filled with lots of activities during both summer vacation and during the school year.  We have 2 Camp Outs a year, usually one in the Fall and Spring.  We have one big winter overnight trip.   In the past, we have gone skiing, and slept overnight in the U.S.S. Yorktown, and many other fun trips.  This past year we did the following:  Day 1 Fayetteville to Wilmington: Battleship, Cape Fear Serpentarium, Fort Fisher Historical Site, North Carolina Aquairium at Fort Fisher - Sleeping with the Fishes
Day 2 Fort Fisher Aquarium, Car Ferry over to Southport, Shalotte River Swamp Park arial aventures and river swamp tour then back to Fayetteville.  Wow what an exciting and memorable trip!

We currently have 3 Dens.  1 Bear Den (3rd graders), 1 Webelos 1 Den (4th graders), and 1 Webelos 2 Den (5th graders).   Our fifth graders cross over to the Boy Scouts in February.

Our growth goals for the 2016-2017 Cub year: Create a Tiger Den of 3-8 1st graders AND a Wolf Den of 3 to 8 2nd graders.  But we still have room in our other Dens.
